KNOWING JUST WHO YOUR POLYGRAPHIST IS. . . Fred R. Meyer, BA., M.E.P., A.C.P., D.A.B.F.E. After completion of his undergraduate studies and while employed in Law Enforcement, Mr. Meyer entered into the field of Polygraph Science. Fred R. Meyer has been a practicing Polygraphist in Private Practice since 1979. Receiving his initial polygraph training at the highly recognized National Training Center of Polygraph Science in New York. One of the oldest and renown polygraph training facilities in the U.S., under the tutelage of internationally renowned Polygraphist Richard O. Arther, M.A., A.C.P. Upon completion of his initial training and following an internship, Mr. Meyer was conferred the designation of Expert Polygraphist by the National Training Center of Polygraph Science. In 1981, Mr. Meyer was elected a Distinguished Fellow in the Academy of Certified Polygraphists. Following his Graduate training in 1988, Mr. Meyer was awarded the designation of Master Expert Polygraphist in 1989 by the National Training Center one of only three awarded at the time. Mr. Meyer has continued to keep active in the profession on various levels. He is a two time Past President of the Academy of Certified Polygraphists. He is also a three time Past President of the New Jersey Polygraphists, Inc. He continues to be active in professional organizations. In addition, he has been involved on numerous National Professional Polygraph Organization Committees involved in the detection of deception. Professional associations of which he is also a Full Member are the: American Polygraph Association; New York State Polygraphists, Inc.; the National Polygraph Association; the Academy of Certified Polygraphists; New Jersey Polygraphists Inc.; National Association of Polygraph Specialists in Sex Offender Testing / Monitoring and the American College of Forensic Examiners, in which he earned and holds Diplomate status. In regards to the testing of Sex Offenders, Mr. Meyer has been qualified by the American Polygraph Association through examination and experience to conduct Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing for Sex Offender Treatment and Monitoring Programs. Having recieved his specialized training in PCSOT through the National Association of Polygraph Specialists in Sex Offender Testing / Monitoring and and the Florida Department of Corrections Region V. He holds membership in the Association for the Treatment of Sex Offenders (ATSA ~ National) and is one of the founding members of the New Jersey ATSA Chapter and also has sat as a Director on their Board. Since 1979, Mr. Meyer has consistently attended advanced polygraph training programs every year, as well as other training programs in order to keep abreast of the ever-changing advances to the profession to better enable him to serve his clientele. Mr. Meyer has lectured on the subject of Polygraph Science before the Institute for Continuing Legal Education New Jersey Bar; Sex Offender Treatment Professionals and numerous other groups. In addition, Mr. Meyer is a Licensed Private Detective in New Jersey and a Licensed Polygraph Examiner in Vermont.
